Jessica Torrez-Riley is from a bi-coastal family. Growing up in West Chester, Pa., and Seattle, she learned quickly how to adapt to new environments and situations. Jessica graduated summa cum laude from Boston’s Northeastern University with a dual B.A. in Journalism and Cinema Studies. Her diverse experience editing the student newspaper, running marketing and pre-production for the campus’ online TV station and filming live sporting events for the school’s athletic department led to co-ops at a major daily newspaper and two television/documentary production companies. After graduation, Jessica moved to New York City to pursue her interests in television and sports production. By day she worked on docu-reality TV shows as a production assistant and office coordinator for Al Roker Entertainment. Her nights and weekends were spent in the Major League Baseball-Advanced Media offices as a streaming media assistant for MLB.TV. It was during these late nights when she discovered a passion for interactive media and when her desire to grow from a monitor to a designer and project manager bloomed. Jessica looks forward to learning a great deal about the technical components of web design, application development and online video streaming while attending Elon’s iMedia program.
